However, the scale is darn hard, so if you have enough material, face off the scale with a cheap carbide tool. After you get through the scale, you should be fine. Does anyone know off the top of your head what speed and feeds work well (for conservative cutting with a BP) and a 1/2" coated endmill in a mild structural steel?
